rather than scrap them you can use my bespoke uploading service

 

 

There is a Charge of £21.00 ( Payable after the sale )

 

This Charge includes the following to prepare the item for sale :-

  1. Clean the item
  2. Weigh the item ( In total including the stones and setting )
  3. Estimate the size of the stones using a presidium gauge for the volumetric weight
  4. Colour grade the diamonds with a master colour set in the existing setting where possible
  5. Thermally test the stones to try and establish if they are real or simulants.
  6. With the aid of a Microscope examine the stones for inclusions feathers and fissures etc.
  7. Submit the item to U.V. exposure, also using a Dichroscope and Spectroscope to further establish if they are genuine or a simulant
  8. Digitally photograph the item for identification and further inspection
  9. Verify the metal content ie, 9ct, 14ct, 15ct,18ct, 22ct. Platinum or other, using the hallmark if present
  10. If there is no hallmark, acid test the item for purity (This is for guidance only at this stage)
  11. Write the report detailing the item with the estimated Trade and Retail price
  12. Enclose my recommendations, together with quotation for repair if require

 

At this stage I will forward my report and photograph to you directly via the internet.

The total charge for this service is £21.00 including the digital picture and not paid for until the item is sold. Should you decide to proceed with the sale the item will then be uploaded to the site and offered for sale.

There are 4 editions per year, Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter.

In addition to the mail shots which are directed to 3,000 + companies per edition, the site is also registered on various search engines plus the service is promoted by me personally at various venues around the United Kingdom and France with the items on video for all to see.

When the item is sold :- The charge for the introduction and presentation is a flat 12%

The item is dispatched by insured registered post to the purchaser at their cost you will be notified.

14 Days later you will receive the balance of the sale less the charges as the customer has 7 days to satisfy themselves with the quality etc. (This is standard for any sale)


If you require your item to be returned at any time it will be returned via registered post or U.P.S. at your cost T.B.A. please call me and we can discuss this at the time.

The item is insured whilst in my care with a Jewellers block policy at the trade price.

The transfer of title will be initiated only when you receive the balance of payment.

Should there be no Hallmark, the item must be assayed prior to uploading
The cost for this service is £15.00 which includes re-polishing the item on its return.
The Hallmark is struck by The Birmingham Assay office 

(This is important to protect the prospective buyers interests)
